As the opening of our new activity center becomes a reality, John and I could not be more proud of the progress our foundation has made in such a short time. When we walked into the Kelly's Team activity room for the first time we could feel Kelly's presence as if she had designed the room herself.
Kelly was always well aware of the need for kids to be able to get out of their hospital rooms and have some fun and interact with all of the other children.
We can only hope that by being a part of the new hospital our foundation can give a little something back to the Austin community because they have given us so much. We wouldn't be nearly as successful as we are without the support of the people of Austin.

Today we begin the dawning of a new era for the Kelly Davidson Foundation as the Kelly's Team Playroom celebrates its grand opening today. While we have achieved a lot in the first five years, including our goal of funding and now running the new playroom in Dell Children's Medical Center, we are also learning just how much work is still ahead of us. The Children of Austin and Central Texas are counting on all of us to give them the very best of everything and I know we won't let them down. I am proud to have been asked to serve on Kelly's Team and continue to carry her memory in my heart. To John and Jamie and all the dedicated board members who continue to work so hard, congratulations!
